IT'S EASY TO COMPLICATE

Often it’s easier to complicate than to simplify.

Or to put it another way, lazy thinking generally leads to complicated solutions.

As Einstein said:

"IF YOU CAN'T EXPLAIN IT SIMPLY, YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND IT WELL ENOUGH."

The irony, of course, is that simple looks easy from the outside.
